The Tennyson Center was originally founded as the Colorado Christian Home orphanage in northern Colorado in 1904. Since then, it has grown into one of the Rocky Mountain region's leading treatment centers for abused, neglected, and at-risk youth. Today, it is registered as a non-profit organization and allocates 85% of the donations they receive directly to funding for the many services they provide to our community.
The Tennyson Center serves children aged from 5 to 18 through many specialized and personalized programs. Just to name a few of these, they offer 24 hour residential treatment for children who cannot remain in their own homes, day treatment for children able to remain at home, special services for children with mental health issues, and a K-12 school program for students with special behavioral needs. Their vision is "Changing Lives and Giving Hope to Children and Families" and they work to achieve this by being "child-centered", "family-focused", and "community-based."
We are very proud to support this organization and look forward to making more donations to their worthy cause. With that said, we are excited to announce that we will be holding a school supply drive for the Tennyson Center during the month of July! Please see their complete list of needs below.
